After five years, Runa and Ryuuto’s story comes to a close. The 10th volume of You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story light novel is set to conclude the story. The final volume is set to ship on March 19 (the Japanese release date).
You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story Light Novel Details
Written by Makiko Nagako (illustrated by magako), You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story covers the romance between Ryuuto Kashima and Runa Shirakawa.
When a failed bet prompts Ryuuto to ask out his long-time crush, the school’s most popular girl, he expects a swift rejection. Yet when the opposite happens, Ryuuto quickly finds himself at a loss. Why would the school’s idol, a top-of-the-class gyaru with plenty of ex-boyfriends, agree to go out with an inexperienced twitch-bro like him? But despite their differences, the two work together to form a long and meaningful connection.
Kadokawa’s Fantasia Bunko has serialized the high school/university romance story since September 2020. Square Enix’s Gangan Online web has serialized the manga adaptation of You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story. Noyama Carpaccio illustrates the manga, which boasts seven tankōbon volumes since its inception in February 2022. J-Novel Club releases the light novel’s English version, while Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global releases the English e-version of the manga.
The light novel also boasts an anime adaptation by Studio ENGI. The 12-episode TV anime aired during Fall 2023. Hideaki Ōba acted as the show’s director while Hiroko Fukuda worked on its scripts. The voice cast for the show includes:
