The fantasy RPG AFK Journey announced a limited-time crossover event featuring characters from the anime series Fairy Tail, launching May 1, 2025. The event will introduce Fairy Tail characters Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia as playable heroes within the game.
The characters are voiced by the Japanese voice actors:
- Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu Dragneel
- Aya Hirano as Lucy Heartfilia
Developed by the team behind AFK Arena, AFK Journey is known for its strategic gameplay, open-world exploration, and vibrant art style. As part of its live-service model, the game regularly adds seasonal content and special events. The game is described:
Players are whisked away into the magical world of Esperia, where they will recruit numerous heroes to their cause, take on powerful foes, and earn rewards both through in-game actions and idle (AFK) mechanics. Players can freely roam across Esperia’s rich and colorful world, exploring bustling towns and taking on quests from NPCs. As a live service title, Farlight Games supports the game with expansive seasonal content updates.
During the crossover, Natsu and Lucy will join the game’s dimensional faction, each bringing their recognizable abilities and combat mechanics to the battlefield. The event will include themed content, character interactions, and new challenges for players.
