Classroom of the Elite Year 3 novel series has revealed a new Volume 1 trailer narrated by Nao Toyama, teasing a dark, yandere-like Honami Ichinose. This will be the final year for Ayanokoji and his classmates, with some major changes in each of the classes. The first volume of the third year novels released in Japan on March 24.

Honami Ichinose was also featured on the May 2025 issue of Monthly Comic Alive magazine together with Kiyotaka Ayanokoji.

Shogo Kinugasa writes the Classroom of the Elite light novels, with illustrations by Shunsaku Tomose. The novel was published from May 2015 to September 2019, while, the Classroom of the Elite Year 2 began in January 2020 and ended . There is an ongoing manga adaptation of Year 1 by Yuyu Ichino, while Hachi Komada draws the manga adaptation of the Year 2 sequel. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga adaptations in English.
The anime adaptation by Lerche has released 3 seasons between 2017 and March 2024. Season 4 is currently in production, the first teaser trailer recently revealing that Lerche will be returning to animate. The story follows the genius Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, who enrolled at a prestigious high school that has a 100% rate of its students going on to become successful. He aims to be as average as possible in the problematic Class 1-D, which is full of the school’s problem children. However, that obviously doesn’t go as planned, and he ends up leading his class to success.
